AWARDS PROGRAM

by the Membership, February 19, 2003)
Mission
statement:
The
purpose of the awards program of the Home Craftsmen Forum is to recognize
contributions to the purposes of the organization made on an individual and or
group basis.
President’s
Gold Award:
The
President’s Gold Award is presented by the president with concurrence of the
Executive Committee, to recognize extraordinary contributions to the club over
an extended period of time.
Examples would include long time operation of a member’s shop for
building toys or long time contribution to the overall welfare of the club such
as accepting and managing difficult area(s) of club activity.
The award shall consist of an engraved plaque presented at the annual
picnic meeting.
Nominations for this award may be made to the president and voted upon by
the Executive Committee.
Executive
Committee Special Recognition Award:
The Executive Committee Special Recognition Award is presented by the president
in recognition of service to the club or a one time extraordinary contribution
to the success of the club. Examples
would include an outgoing president or a long term committee member.
The award shall consist of a plaque presented at the end of the office
term year. Nominations for this
award may be made to the president and voted upon by the Executive Committee.
Club
Recognition Award:
The
Club Recognition Award is presented by the president in recognition of a variety
of contributions made to the club. Examples
would include a contribution of supplies for use in the toy building projects,
or a significant contribution of resources for the general purposes of the club. The award shall consist of a certificate to be presented at
the appropriate time of the activity being recognized. Nominations for this award may be made to the president and
voted upon by the Executive Committee.
Record
Keeping:
The
club secretary shall be responsible for accepting nominations submitted to the
president, recording them in the “Awards record book” and presenting them to
the Executive Committee for consideration.
General guidelines will include the President’s Gold Award being
presented only once each year, the Executive Committee Special Recognition Award
would be presented on a quarterly basis and the Club Recognition Award on an as
needed basis.
