 recipients can accept the toys.  We will need about 14 delivery drivers with covered vehicles this year due to the large sizes of the toys that have to be delivered.  Most drivers will probably only be able to get one toy location in their vehicle for delivery.  Contact Darrell McConnell to volunteer to deliver toys.  317-773-3890.

We need donations (Money or dolls) for the purchase of dolls for the cradles that we will be giving out this year.  Thanks to my daughter, Debbie Gerber, who donated two dolls and various club members who donated $200 we will have a doll to go with each cradle being distributed.

-The Christmas Gift and Hobby Show – Bill Jones

The volunteer schedule for our Gift & Hobby Show booth is posted at our web site (www.homecraftsmenforum.com). We still need volunteers so please check the schedule posted on the web site and contact Bill by phone (636-1143) or email (webmaster@homecraftsmenforum.com) to sign up.  Volunteers get free admission to the show and grounds.  Volunteers can also purchase tickets at the Gift & Hobby show office for $3.50 for family and friends when they pick up their exhibitor pass.

- Toy Making Competition Judged at the December Meeting –

Bosch Tools (www.boschtools.com) and Stone Belt Arc (www.stonebelt.org) are sponsoring a toy building competition for Home Craftsmen Forum members.  Bosch, a major manufacturer of woodworking tools, is providing a router as first prize for the best design.   Toys in this category will be used as prototypes for next years toy program.   Stone Belt Arc is providing a $50 prize for the best toy design incorporating their ‘roto-hinge’  product.  Stone Belt Arc is an organization that partners with the community to prepare, empower, and support persons with developmental disabilities and their families to participate fully in the life of the community.   Roto-hinge samples, lumber samples were available at the October meeting and will be offered again at the November meeting.  See page 8 of the newsletter for contest rules.
