The “Joy of a Toy” Contest

Design a TOY using the materials commonly used in our Toy Project and have it be a featured toy for production in the 2004 HCF Toy Project.  Along the way, win great prizes for your designs.  Add a roto-hinge to your design and be eligible for more prizes.  The toys are for girls and/or boys in the age range of 1 year to 18 years old. 

 

Gladden a child’s heart, spread some joy, release your creativity - - MAKE A TOY.

 

To enter, follow the guidelines listed below and bring your toy (or toys) to the December meeting.  Samples of the 5/8” plywood used in the Toy Project and Roto-Hinges (provided by Stone Belt Arc) will be available at the October and November meetings.  Be sure to pick up these supplies if you plan to enter the contest.

 

Guidelines for Entering

- Competition is open to HCF members only.

- Toy must be built after June 1, 2003.

- Primary materials of construction are 5/8” plywood and/or nominal  2” thick construction grade lumber.   - - other materials may be  added as minor components in the design.

- Submissions must be accompanied by a design drawing and a list of materials. 

- Judging to be at the December 17, 2003 HCF meeting.
