-Toy Project Needs Help-
As you know, we pride ourselves on our Toy Project where we make toys and distribute them to worthwhile community oriented programs for children through out Indianapolis. A recent report to the Executive Committee from Darrell McConnell, Toy Project Leader, on our progress indicates that the number of toys we expect to complete is down for this year. If you would like to help increase our final toy count, please see Darrell or Nan Schulte. They can help you select a toy plan to meet your home shop equipment and coordinate supplying you with the lumber and fittings.
Reminder: The Toy Project toys must be turned in at the November meeting, or before. If you have completed a "Box project" – a take home toy project - and would like to do another, please see Darrell or Nan.

Don Melloy has found a source of odd scrapes of prefinished hardwood flooring that the club can use for toy production. If you have a toy project that can use this type of wood, contact Don.
Secretary’s Report – Bob Taylor
Some confusion reported by members receiving the e-mail version of the newsletter this last month due to it being sent with a different ‘from’ line. The new "from" for the e-mail version of the newsletter is ‘Home Craftsmen.’ Please do not delete these messages without reading them. They are your newsletter.
New website is up and operational. www.homecraftsmenforum.com
Bylaw changes
– Don MelloyWritten proposal submitted to Executive Committee to update bylaws to reflect our current practice of separate secretary and treasurer positions. Further proposed changes to bylaws are in the works as we incorporate and move forward with filing for non-profit status. These will be brought before the membership as we progress down this path.
